well friday my mom came and picked me up in toronto and we spent the day walking around and ended up at the eaton centre. i was looking for a simple zip up hoodie, but a specific kind that i've seen all around. after no such luck finding it anywhere, i finally decided to try aritzia. BINGO, there they were right on the front table, with tonnes of colors. i picked one out and also another loose, long sleeved over the shoulder top. and mom offered to pay the bill ;) maybe when i get a job, i'll go back and get a few more colors ha. after shopping we grabbed some dinner, went back to my place for a bit and then headed back to my parents house. that's where i am now for a few days.
last year, it was straight and i got bored and used a tiny curling iron, then dylan photoshopped my eyes (wish i had blue contacts for fun)i mean, my hair hasn't changed too much, it's gone from short to long (for me, still not where i want it just yet though), dark to blonde, and in between. by the way, i have the slowest growing hair ever, it blows. which makes me never want to cut it, and then i don't and then the ends are killed and i have to get a big cut to make it healthy--FAIL-and that's basically where i am now; in dier of a big trim and to get colored..it's been 3.5 months..yikes. i used to go every 2 months, then somehow it's stretched out to 3 months and i don't get it trimmed nearly as much as i should, so it's my own fault my ends are terrible and at my appointment next week, i'm probably going to cry with how much needs to come off. and that was a big long run on sentence. whew
anywho, i wrote this post a few days ago and threw it up now because i'm in the midst of studying and life is pretty boring! however, it shall get better soon :)
thanks to everyone for all the 'goodlucks' recently..i really appreciate it. i promise i will stop mentioning my finals soon, very soon. because my last one is tonight!! i can't freakin' wait to walk outta that exam room and just know that i have absolutely nothing to do in the next few days.
Liz from the blog From Portland to Peonies had an awesome giveaway, and last night, she posted the winner...and it was ME! i so squealed when i saw my name, and maybe i hit dylan a few times from excitement hahah
wanna know what i won?? a fabulous $50 gift card to Anthropologie...i know, amazing right?!?
pic via we heart it
i definitely did some online browsing right away, and there are some super cute things. just makes finishing my exam all the more sweeter!
so, a big thanks to Liz!
and check out the video below of my crazy dog if you missed it..and if you want a laugh, or want to be scared..i'm not sure which one...
chloe loves to play, and she's very vocal while doing so. she also loves when her dad comes to see her. don't worry, she's very happy when playing, she just has the vocal cords of a demon. ignore she crappy video quality and the messy floors.

starting the day right, with the windows wide open, sun shining in, a hot coffee (in the cute little mug i got at a garage sale from the neighbors across the street; they're so sweet, they gave it to me for free!), and the journal dylan got me for christmas.on sunday, i got up early (as usual) and while dylan was still sleeping with chloe, i tried to think of something to do for the day- it was going to be beautiful. it only took me a second to think of the st. lawrence market, however, it's not opened on sundays. sad. BUT, the antique market is! so, when he woke up/i woke his ass up, i told him of the plan and we headed out by 11. what's good about taking the subway/street car on the weekend in toronto is the pass you can get for $10 that we can both share and we have unlimited use of it for that day, so we can go anywhere we want!
we browsed around the market, but stuff was a little overpriced in my opinion. i found a nice little corner shelf, but it was $275-no thanks...after walking around, we were starving, and took the street car up to queen st. i had always wanted to try the Korean Grill House, where you cook your own meat on the grill in the middle of your table. i always looked in the windows in awe and my mouth would start to water whenever i passed one in toronto lol so that's what we did! it was 8.99 each and you get unlimited beef, pork, chicken, 2 types of fish (yuk) and rice.
at first, dylan hated it..but i loved it. it was so fun, and after a while, dylan started to like it too. the only bad thing was that the chicken was really fatty, so i didn't eat that. i'm so happy i finally got to satisfy my craving for this and i will definitely go back for more :)
anyways, i'm off to get a starbucks and try to return a pair of shorts at h&m without a receipt, but with the tags still on. i'm hoping they give me a store credit to get a different pair.
happy tuesday!
doing the folks of jersey shore proud lol
taking a little break upstairs, while the rest were dancing their hearts out downstairs
seriously, i loved this place-we will def be making our way back sometime, and it's in a great little area; little italy. there's lots of little restaurants and such around. oh, and we got the best chicken shawarma when we left. lots of garlic sauce=amazingness :) :)
Now I say 7 things about me and pass it long to 7 other ladies...
1. i absolutely LOVE NYC; i have gone the last 6 summers and twice last year-heaven!
2. if i was good in the sciences, i would love to be in forensics, on the crime scene, or doing something in the labs with the bodies...hmm, kind of morbid
3. i am beyond terrified of butterflies. if i see one, or anything that resembles one, i will run for cover so fast and duck into a ball..no joke
4. i cannot stand the sound of chip bags opening, makes me cringe
5. the whole "it's like riding a bike, you never forget" type thing-ya, doesn't apply to me-i can't ride a bike for the life of me and i used to be able to when i was little
6. i eat a lot of things out of mugs-chips, pretzels, fruit, anything snack-ish
7. i am way more of a candy person (think watermelons, cinnamon lips, sour peach) than chocolate...although m&m's are an exception (i major heart those) and i certainly enjoy a good twix bar.
so, i will now pass it on to...
Lindsey at la dolce vita
Jamie at life as i know it
Mel at Mel Learns Her Lesson
Magpie at Dazzled by Life
J at rbandj
Nicole at my teacups in peony
Whitney at a "cheery" disposition
:)
we took a walk down to the eaton centre this morning, i was looking for a top for tomorrow night. it's my friends 23rd birthday! i didn't find anything for tomorrow, but i did find a tshirt for $8 and a pair of jeans for $35 from costa blanca..not too shabby. then we hurried home and dylan had to leave because he has to work tonight and tomorrow, then he'll be back up so we can go out tomorrow. as for me for the rest of the day? probably CSI, king of queens (scratch that, SATC movie it is!), blankets, chloe, m&m's and a book from america's #1 trial lawyer (book from 1971 lol) and some of his defense cases...just my type of book..."the defense never rests" by F.Lee Bailey.
i'll be hanging out with these girls tomorrow and a bunch of other friends-it's been a while since we've all gone out actually..can't wait! (this picture was from summer 2008 summer, but it popped into my head when i thought about the girls)
happy friday and have a great weekend!! (and hopefully you guys have better weather than here in toronto!)
