a blogger date...

last night, i was able to go on a little blate with daniela. we had our first blate about a year ago, and then i moved out of the city (remember when i left toronto for 10 months? i like to forget that part!) and we weren't able to meet again, until last night! we met up after she finished work and had a couple drinks on a rooftop patio. i ordered the peach bellinis and was pleasantly surprised when the bill came that they were only $4.49 each because of bellini tuesday (instead of the regular $6.99!). somehow, we managed to stay there for 3 hours until it got dark, and then headed our separate ways.

we'll definitely be doing this again, and not letting another year go by in the meantime!

a little over a week later, i was finally able to celebrate dylan's birthday with him! he was pretty excited to open his gifts, and i was pretty excited to give it to him, too. the weather was incredible on saturday and we spent the day sitting on the porch sipping sangria and walking around the city.

after painting and playing with the dogs, we got some drinks together, bbq'd some burgers and went for a swim.

 so, this was our labor day weekend. and just like that, the weather went from nearly 40˚C on friday to 15˚C on monday. i think fall is pretty much here to stay now.

weekend-patio edition...

i think this weekend was my first time drinking on a patio this summer. what??? how did i wait so long? it was reaching the mid 30's, so it was pretty hot. luckily, me and dyl snagged a table with an umbrella..

 starting off friday afternoon with a delicious strawberry daiquiri

 then at night, meeting with friends for more drinks and nachos, and some interesting conversations

while walking home friday night, we passed a fro-yo place and i saw a sign for red velvet flavor. whoa. i could not wait to go back the next day. sad to say, i was very disappointed. it tasted like chocolate. wahhhh

oh, also, before our night drinks, me and dylan saw bad teacher, like i mentioned before. the commercials never appealed to me, and then i watched the restricted trailer online and i changed my mind. i should have gone with my original opinion. it sucked. we both thought so. i'm not a cameron diaz fan in general, but i just hated the character she played..oh well, at least we had free tickets along with free popcorn and pop.

last night, me and 4 of my girlfriends went to a nearby restaurant for some drinks and appetizers. appetizers are 2 for 1 all summer! so we got 4 appetizers and it was only $23; can you beat it!? we got some beer battered onion rings, nachos, spinach and cheese dip and kettle chips with onion/blue cheese/bacon. yep, all carbs, all crap=it was good.

we were talking about the cottage and stuff and getting excited about it..can't wait! we packed it in once we couldn't eat anymore and the mosquitoes started coming out-gross. 

on another note-anyone else as obsessed with the Ne-Yo song "beautiful monster" as i am? i freakin love it, it's been on repeat all night and morning. also, the Eminem/Rihanna song "love the way you lie" - i'm not sure about it yet, i love her part and wish it was a whole song, but i just feel like they're 2 completely different songs put together..meh...i'll have to give his new cd a listen. it's sitting in my itunes.
