NYE...

hello 2014! we had a low-key new year's eve with 2 friends over playing board games and having a few drinks. it's a miracle i made it to midnight, which rarely happens around here, let alone the magical 3:30 am i stayed awake until. new years day was just what i wanted it to be; pure laziness. there were 2 naps on my part, plowing myself through gillian flynn's gone girl (3/4 of the way done now), playing the board game 'carcassonne' with dylan, and eating leftover chinese food. i'm now slowly starting to mentally prepare myself that i'm going back to school on tuesday and my glorious 4 weeks off is nearly over. #sad

i lost both times, but i learned a new game.

new years eve...

new years eve was very low-key. we had some eggnog, watched an episode or 2 of how i met your  mother, and .....wait for it...we were in bed by 11. i know. it's a miracle i made it that late; by 9:30 i could barely keep my eyes open. i randomly woke up at 11:56 and then heard all the cheering and fireworks outside. shortly after, i was back asleep ;)

jacknog; turns out, i wasn't a fan. sailor jerry's spiced rum is much better with eggnog.

 french press + milk frother = amazing. + mimosas, too.

 i felt like being extra nice this morning, and made coffee, mimosas and blueberry pancakes before dylan woke up.

smiling, even though i'm holding the ugliest cake i've ever made. still tasted great though. and i'm still eating leftovers today.

new years day was much better than nye in my opinion. we ate well, as you can see, watched a lot of how i met your mother, and didn't leave the house once. and, i also forced dylan to watch kourtney and kim take new york with me. he said he judged me for it and that he had never seen a group of more sad, boring people in his life. sundays episode was a little boring though, no? but i do see his point ;)

happy new years {eve}...

i hope everyone has a good new years tonight! me and dylan aren't doing anything. we decided to hang in and i'm heading over to his place soon. we're going to have a movie day/night and who knows if we'll even make it till midnight haha i'm bringing 4 movies that i got for christmas (sex & the city 2, a charles manson documentary, ghost, and perfect stranger-the only one i've seen is SATC). also, we're going to eat a lot today i'm sure (we kind of have a lot of snackies prepared!) and basically lay on a couch for 24 hours .. sounds good to me.

doing one of those year in review posts would have been fun, but i've just been so busy that i really haven't had the time. i'm happy we have lazy plans today, we've never been really into new years big spending anyways. and as i'm typing this, i'm pretty sure i feel cramps coming on, from you know what...just great. i guess it's best that my plans were to lay on a couch all day anyways?? :P

anyway, i feel like this post is all over, and sort of random sentences strewn together in a 'paragraph'. so i should probably go now.
