*part 1 of christmas
here* as i mentioned before, me and dyl skipped the gifts (minus 1 book for each other, since we're book junkies), and just put money away for our next trip. it worked out really well and while we got some weird looks from people when we tell them that, we would both rather go away than get more stuff.
and he picked margaret atwood's alias grace and got it signed by her when she came to town a while ago! she's a popular canadian author, so it's pretty cool! he made out like a bandit, too (from my parents)
the books (and movies) i got in my box of books i mentioned yesterday! champagne time.
parents making homemade biscuits/rolls/whatever you want to call them.
grandma (dads mom) and me
the grub.
chocolatesssss. and also sooo tired.
our little 4-pack.
i've gotta say, this year was a success, and i'm counting down the days until next year ;) now bring on the snow!

I don't understand why anyone would think saving for a trip is weird...I think making a memory is so much better than exchanging gifts!
Have a happy new year!
Did you get that stack of books for Christmas? I'm pretty sure I read Go Ask Alice back in high school and quite enjoyed it. Just curious...are you by chance on GoodReads since you have a slight obsession with books? I'd love to read your thoughts on all these books when you finish them.
Happy New Year to you!
Oh wow that stack of books/movies ... I want haha. Looks like an amazing Christmas time to me! And me and the Boy decided to limit the gifts so we could splurge on New Year's in Toronto instead since we've never really "gone out" for New Year's, so I totally get where you two are coming from! Hope you have an amazing New Year's ringing in 2012 :)
Looks like y'all had a great Christmas! That is quite a stack of books and movies...better get busy!
Aww (:
