it's all an illusion...

over the weekend, i got photoshop cs5. now granted, this program is currently way beyond my comprehension, but once school is over, i can't wait to learn a few tips and tricks to go along with my nikon. be prepared to be blown out of the water with my soon to be skills. ok, not likely, but it'll be fun once i learn the basics.
after playing with eye color (and dylan showing me how), next thing i thought about is, "ok, lets make me freakishly thin." totally normal thoughts... so google pulled up a super easy tutorial and BAM... i was 20lbs lighter. care to see?

this is the photo we worked with. unaltered and unedited, right from my camera (using canon powershot); i look normal (body wise) and i was having a good time running towards dyl and he snapped the pic. moving on...

the first one is the original again. then we did a pretty normal looking slim down, nothing overly dramatic that absolutely screams photoshop. then, the next step was to make me look like a runway model, fake looking waif. (ya, you can also see that my legs got quite burned that day; it was cloudy and i forgot to put sun screen on..it got 10x worse when i got home at night. never again)

the editing certainly isn't perfect, but we did it in like, 5 minutes.

now looking at them all beside each other, i actually look 'big' in the regular picture, but when looked at alone, i look normal. so, i played a trick on my mom, and asked her to guess which was real (obviously between 1 & 2). she guessed 2. dammit! lol
and then dylan took it a step further and emailed me this picture later in the day ..he gave me a tan, made me skinnier and gave me bigger boobs lol ridiculous. the subject to the email-"i love you the way you are-just having fun♥ "--damn right you do! because i'm quite happy with my small boobs and you couldn't pay me to get a boob job! although, i kind of like this body..i may keep this in mind when running the stairs, doing yoga and using the nike training camp app ;)

in all seriousness though, don't think that i edit all my pictures (except for some effects, but that's a given)..because i don't. and now that i have photoshop, i still won't. maybe the odd blemish or under eye circle..but that will be the extent of it. i don't have time to make myself skinnier in every picture lol nor do i need to.

it really makes you realize the powers of photoshop from magazines and hollywood in general. of course, i always knew they did it (duh), but seeing it so easily done on myself, it's mind-blowing!

and lastly, sorry to bombard you with pictures of me in a bathing suit :P

So scary. THE POWER OF PHOTOSHOP! IT CAN WARP YOUR BRAIN!

Not YOUR brain obviously, I mean the brains of women in general. I think you look gorgeous in the normal photo!! The others are a bit creepy!

Yay! I just got mine in the mail yesterday and I'm totally psyched about it! Now if only I didn't have a test this week and no time to play. Boo.

Cute suit!

Photoshop is nuts. It's so hard to tell what is real and what isn't.

You're adorable, with out the photoshop! But that is CRAZY!! It sure shows off what they can do for magazine colors!

it's crazy how far we have come technology wise coming from a time where the closest someone got to a photo of themselves was a painting.
