home run...

living in a city like toronto, we should be trying a whole whack of restaurants, something different every time.  but sometimes, you find one that just keeps you coming back; i'm looking at you home of the brave. not only is it close to us,  but the service is great, the food comes fast, it's inexpensive, and the grub is just good.
i had the brussels sprouts with cheese and mustard seeds in the back, we shared the tater tots (they're like heaven melting in your mouth), and dylan had the cheesy garlic bread and the kentucky fried  handshake.
shaking the chicken foot. it pulls off very easily and you're left with a delicious, juicy chicken thigh. dylan loved it. we both found the foot to be hilarious and a little gross. he *did not* eat it.
red velvet funnel cake with mascarpone, cream cheese, fruit, and the best vanilla ice cream i've ever put in my mouth. this dessert is absolute perfection.
this collage was from our first visit; the tater tots, fried cauliflower (somehow not greasy in the least), and a not-your-typical-bologna sandwich.

everything is house-made, down to the ranch sauce and hot sauce. they opened only about a month or two ago, but they seem to be a hit with the crowds. they're always adding new menu items and daily specials. if you're in the area, i highly recommend checking this place out.
