some wine with dinner. which never happens for me!
'chips' (already 1/2 eaten) for apps-deep fried raviolis stuffed with cheese. heaven.
dyl-wood oven roasted chicken (stuffed), fettuccine tossed with veggies and alfredo and served with seasonal vegetables.
we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and while we left full, we weren't stuffed to the point of not being able to move. and we both had leftovers for the next day ;) we sat in comfortable chairs by a window in a little table off to the side. even when it started getting livelier, we didn't notice. it seemed the noise didn't travel to where we were. or maybe we were just in a 'date night bliss' because it's been so long since we've seen each other and we just didn't notice. ha! however, when we left it was pouring rain. and we were without an umbrella. so we hailed a cab, i had to step in the biggest puddle (up to my ankle) because the cab pulled up to far from the curb and i couldn't make the jump, and then we relaxed at home for the night.
we also noticed that nobody goes out to dinner between 5:30 and 6. especially on a friday night. especially at our age. we're like, 60.

Haha! My husband hates eating late, even though I love it {trendy} so we're always eating the early bird special. Cute blog! I'm new to the blogging world, so I wanted to say hello. :)
What a cute date night! I love it! And this all made me so hungry! Hope your first day is going great, Bree! So proud of you!
haha i can't stand being in a restaurant during prime hours. i hate the noise and i hate waiting 6764 hours for my food so i always make sure chris and i go out at like 4 30 for dinner. plus that way by the time we're semi hungry again for dessert it's not like 10 at night and we can actually have some! looks like i'm 60, too.
OH MY gosh. Water was $8.00?!?!?!?
I would get up and leave as well. Screw that.
