yes, we cook together...

when dylan was over earlier in the week, we figured it was a good day to make soup. the weather was crummy and it was supposed to be all day. so went to the grocery store while it was raining, and on our way there, the rain stopped! the sun came out and it stayed that way the rest of the day. and it was hot. but we still made our soup..
 pretty much the only ingredients
just a little nibble before we get started
watching dad carefully. maybe he'll accidentally drop a piece of squash??
nutmeg and pepper on top
and then we watched a couple criminal minds and went to bed. we're wild.

(if anyone is interested, we used this recipe. also, we used a 3lb squash and 5 1/2 cups liquid (instead of 6), but i would even go with 5 cups next time)

That looks delicious! I ate soup the other day when it was 86 degrees out. Sometimes, you just have to do it!

Have a great weekend!
