nailed it...

when it comes to cooking and baking, i like it, and i'm pretty good at it. but, i'm a fairly picky eater, so choosing meals each day of the week becomes a little difficult. every sunday, we sit down with our coffees and plan our meals monday through friday and then make our grocery list and head out and buy everything. not only is it a money saver, but it's so much better to wake up knowing what you're having for dinner that night, rather than stressing a 4pm thinking, "what are we going to have!?" enter: pinterest (see my account here. recently, we made 2 recipes, and 1 of them we even made last week, and this week. but the other one? it didn't exactly turn out...

up first: zucchini boats. we loved these!! the only thing i changed was longer cooking time. i found at 30 minutes, they were still a little hard so when the timer went off, i covered it with foil and added an extra 8-10 minutes. that seemed to work great.

next up: braided speghetti bread. not what we had hoped for. we didn't have the exact rolls that it called for, since canada kinda sucks like that sometimes, so i had to get something similar. i think that was the root of the problem.

we couldn't stop laughing when it came out of the oven, it was ridiculous. i mean, we ate it, and went back for seconds, but it certainly wasn't the best dinner. and unless we find the bread that was called for in the recipe, we probably won't be making this again. ah well, can't win em all.
