ever since i found out about the cherry blossoms in high park last year (that i missed), i've been waiting and waiting for them to bloom this year. we stopped at the park just as the sun was setting while on our way home from my parents to check them out since i know it's supposed to be raining the next 10 or so days. i'm guessing that much rain will likely blow what flowers have bloomed all away. and if somehow they don't get ruined, well then, we'll just have to get back to see them in all their glory.
while they're still not quite ready, it was still so pretty to see. the park was packed with people still hanging around, having picnics, and taking pictures at 8:30pm. spring and summer are great times in this city, that's for sure.
