i would say we're in the midst of another polar vortex, but really, it's just a regular winter, no? our temps are reaching -20C and the 'feels like' is anywhere from -25 to -35C. at this point, i have to say, ditch the fashion and dress for warmth people! you have no idea how many people i see each morning wearing nothing on their ears - no headbands, ear muffs, hoods, nada. i just roll my eyes and think they're crazy.
i also roll my eyes at the fact some people in my class don't come to school some days because "it's too cold." and the kicker? they DRIVE. i mean, here i am, walking almost 20 minutes to the subway, getting on the subway, and then taking the bus for my 1.5 hour commute. but it's too cold to drive. #givemeabreak
took a walk down to the harbourfront a few weeks ago.
dress appropriately. dress in layers. leave as little exposed skin as possible. you'll survive, promise ;)
oh, and definitely don't leave your pets outside.

when i was in university i lived off campus and i was the worst. the weather dictated if i would go to class (i walked) so i would look out and see a bit of rain and then say: oh, it's pouring outside! i can't go! hahaahahah

It feels like it's been colder this year than last year. I don't remember so many days below 20 last year but maybe our mind just tricks us into forgetting. I am happy the sun has been out lately, it makes the cold a little more bearable. As for class, I drove but I hardly went but I rarely blamed it on the weather (except for snow, I do hate driving in the snow).
