summer is quickly coming to an end and just like i made a summer list, i think it's time to make a fall list of things i would like to do. we managed to complete most things on the list this summer, with the exception of 2. i suppose we can keep them in mind for next year. this one is not nearly as long, but it's equally as good.
-go to the ripley's aquarium of canada. it's opening here in the city later this month and is 135,000 square feet and 1.5 million gallons holding 15,000 animals. we're pretty stoked about this.
-apple picking. duh. quintessential fall activity and we try to go every year.
-a nice hike once the colours change.
-go to nuit blanche, which is a free all night contemporary art event, that goes until sunrise. there are different exhibits all over the city, and though the crowds can get a little crazy, you usually see some pretty neat things.
-try my hand at a crumble. i've never made one as i tend to stay away from desserts that require crusts, but fall just calls for a crumble (or multiple) and i know dylan certainly would not object to this ;)
so tempting to go dark for the winter again after looking at these pictures.
completely unrelated, but! we started watching 'lost' in june and we finally finished the series 2 days ago! (spoiler ahead, even though it's been over for 3 years, i figured i would throw that out there!). i know there were polarizing opinions, and people pretty much loved or hated the ending. i'll say, i definitely got choked up when vincent came out (the darn animals always get me) and laid with jack so he didn't have to go alone. and also when kate told jack that she had 'missed him for a very long time.' i was happy to have closure with the characters, and know that everything on the island did happen, and once they were all dead, they were able to meet up before moving on. as for all the questions remaining about the island, which i think is why i lot of people were peeved at the end...well, i guess i don't feel like i really needed an answer. the island was crazy and that's all there is to it.
maybe my opinion would have changed had i spent 6 years watching it, not just 3.5 months? i can't answer that, but i was happy with the ending. once it was all done, of course i went right to google to see what other opinions people had and to see if i understood the ending correctly. i would almost like to watch the finale again just to see what i didn't catch the first time around.
that's it. that's all.

I was one of the ones that was SO MAD about Lost. I kept saying I'd be happy with any ending except if it was a dream or if they were dead. It just felt like a cop out!
I was a big fan of Lost through everything. I wasn't thrilled with the ending because there were so many unanswered questions. But it was better than the way the Sopranos ended. Enjoyed your list! Good luck!
THANK YOU for telling me about the aquarium - I'm going to take my daughter there! we went to something similar in vancouver and it was awesome and my husband and i were saying that it's a shame we don't have something like that in toronto.
