it's a cakewhich! a cake that's a sandwich..

every year for dylan's birthday, i make him some type of dessert. last year for my birthday, he got me the cakewich pan, and i thought this would be a good time to use it. it's by 'fred' and last year i wrote about my love for their cool products. perhaps it's time for another one of those posts...hmm.

 it came with a pound cake recipe, so that's what i used. however, it took just over 90 minutes in the oven!!

the peanut butter icing was quite delish

 pretty cool, if i do say so myself.

we enjoyed it. it turned out well!

everyone on facebook seemed to love it too. they were like, "where do i get one?!" umm my kitchen! haha i can't wait to make it again. i'm already thinking of ways to maybe torch the top a bit (creme brulee torch?)  and make orange icing so i can make it look like a grilled cheese (dyls favorite). hehe that would be neat i think.
