lady gaga concert...serious business..amazing..girl can sing, dance, play the piano live like no other...but everyone probably knew that. i think my expectations were a little too high..i mean, all her award show performances were sooo great, but then again, she only has one song to perform, so she can go all out and get bloody..here, she has to perform for 2 hours lol but needless to say, i am so so so happy i went and the seats were not bad either...

worst week ever

*gloomy, crappy weather--ie grey skies, fog, and rain
*grumpy PMS
*stress to the max with school--2 papers due mon and tues. and i feel completely lost with them..
*no hot water in the shower yesterday or today (yesterday i put up with it, today..nope, sorry)
hmm what else??
*waking up at 7am every morning with my internal alarm -thanks- and not being able to fall back asleep because my mind goes racing with due dates and school crap
*final exam on tuesday night---not ready at all
*doctor appt next wed for my throat-i absolutely hate going to the dr..

the only thing getting me through..dylan coming up tomorrow for the weekend..
lady gaga on saturday and possibly ice skating outdoor in the city
my parents coming up on sunday for dinner

lovey dovey weekend

our plans for our 3 year anni didnt work out as planned.

we forgot to call for reservations on friday (we were going out saturday), so when we called saturday, we found out they were closed for a private function. boo-urns. so after looking at a bunch of other places in yorkville, we decided the food was too frou frou lol but i did find out about the yorkville holiday magic. they had a little dance act and then lit all the christmas lights around the streets. so we saw that, got some free apple cider and gingerbread cookies and walked around in the lights. then we totally switched our dinner plans and went for a good ole burger! oh and i surprised dylan with a mini red velvet cake i had ordered about 3 weeks ago..omg it was sooo good. dessert lady hands down the best red velvet cupcakes and cake! part of the show in yorkville.

on sunday, my friend came over after dinner to hang out with dyl and i..it's our trio <3
we had planned to just go for drinks, but as i was at the bank machine taking money out, we were beside a window that xmas decorated. my friend made a comment about it, so i had to take her down to holt renfrews windows. love. since we were down that way, and now out of the way we were going, we decided to go down yonge st. then she suggested seeing new moon-this girl is a HUGE fan-she already saw it thursday obviously, waited in line for about 5 hours when she already had her ticket...anyways.. thats what we did. i havent read the books, but i saw the first movie...gotta say...wait for it...i didnt like it! i dunno, the first one was better, stilll not great, and it was just full of cheese! lol and we also got crepes before the movie from cafe crepe. oh so good.

its OUR day

today is our 3 year anniversary! dylan is coming up shortly and then we are going to grab a coffee and then do some groceries. for dinner, im going to make my fave cauliflower cheddar soup! yumm
then tomorrow night we are going out for dinner at a little italian place close by. hopefully it's as delish as i hear.
this was our first year anniversary-2007-we went to Panorama which is on the 52nd (i think)floor of the manulife centre; you get a great view of the city.
and on our second anni, we went to canyon creek, where the food was great, and it was a nice atmosphere...

more signs of christmas

tonight at the eaton centre is the unveiling of the huge swarovski crystal tree. this thing is 35' tall and 20' wide-covered with 20,000 swarovski ornaments! i went last year with my mom and its pretty awesome looking!
too bad its at 7pm and i have class then. wouldnt be too wise to leave early seeing as i did that a few weeks ago to see the holt renfrew windows.
also, ive got a little bit of a hackers cough, i might have gotten a few nasty glares-dont worry, its not the flu, just a little cough.
im also working on my 5 papers..brutal. 1 done, 1 almost done, 1 kind of started, and 2 morre..oy.

santa claus is in town!

today was the 105th annual santa claus parade in toronto! yay. the weather was nothing like yesterday (it was like 15 degrees, sunny, fabulous, say what?!), it was about 12 degrees, but overcast. but boy do the crowds get there early for good seats. dylans brother came last night so he could come with us, so this morning just after 10, we went to go get breakfast and the sidewalks were already being lined with chairs and tonnes of people; of course the roads were already blocked off. so after we ate, which was about 11, we found a spot and parked ourselves there. no chairs- except i was able to sit on a newspaper box. then the parade started just after 12.
brothers.just passing time before it starts...santa's workshop! that means santa isnt far behind..the people on the roof dropped popcorn/'snow' when santa was coming bythere is the big man himself! MERRY CHRISTMAS almostbecause we were near the beginning of the parade, after santa went by, everyone just started following the float and it was just thousands of people and more were joining with every step. it was pretty cool.

ultimate cake off

dylan decided to add some sourpatch kids and other candy to the carrot cake lol it turned out delicious ;) even better the second day IMO.

dinner tonight=chicken parmesan, cheddar broccoli rice and a nice fresh red pepper and onion big bread.

after a trip to winners and the grocery story, we stopped to take some fall-y pictures.

not so creative today

i have a bit of a sore throat today...yuk..
dylan and i took a walk along queen st, went to urban outfitters looking for a toque for him, no such luck-however i was able to score a cute knit pink cardigan sweater and a minty green vneck t shirt-grand total $33 with tax. yessss. the sweater was regular $60 and i think the shirt was $30 or something.

on the other side of things, school is kicking my butt!! i have 5 papers, count em..5 (!!) papers to do...gosh..thats like, a lot haha all due by december 1. lucky me.
organization and a good schedule are obviously important here.

other than that? nothing, back to finishing this chapter so i can start my first paper.
tonight? watching the ugly truth with dyl-and chloe too obviously. she is just too cute.

getting in the christmas spirit

...already! as i said before, last thursday was the unveiling of the christmas windows at holt renfrew. i even left class just a little early (shhh) so i could get there while the 'fun stuff' was still going on. the windows certainly did not disappoint this year!! in my opinion, they were much better than last year.

so that was a lot of pictures...and i know theyre poor quality-but with it being dark, there was glare on the windows, and crowds galore, so i was trying to sneak pic in between all the people walking by. really, these pictures dont do the windows justice-they are fabulous.

wedding weekend

so this weekend was my neighbours wedding. it was lovely.i loved getting dressed up and eating some good food! i had my make up done by dior and it looked great! (if i do say so myself) haha
