some new things...

1. i got a lot more burnt than i thought on sunday..moslty just my chest, my face is a nice color, and my legs are a liiiitle tan, and my arms, well..white bc i had a sweater on...

2. my mom learned how to text! ha

she sent me a text when they were on their way to get me and dylan on monday night "we are on spadina dundas this is fun" lol although it took her 10 minutes to write that haha

3. i decided to get a little crafty and buy some stuff to make my own headbands..

bought some cheap headbands from the dollar store and everything else from michaels

i just finished wrapping one in satin ribbon..must say, for a first attempt, its not bad. :P

anddd i think thats it for now... :)

life's a beach

yesterday was another awesome day at the beach.. we left nice and early..well not too early, about 1030ish and hopped on the street car-dyl and chloe in tow-and she had a blast on the car lol head out the window a bit, wind in her hair haha. we got to the beach and it was still a little cool because it was early and by the water, but we hung out there for a bit and had some fun.

after hanging out on the beach, we grabbed a $5 pizza from pizza pizza, sat on a bench and ate it, and then walked around a bit...we admired the 'gingerbread houses' as i call them-the ones which we dream to live in one day--common, theyre ON the beach and are colorful and adorable!! they are either white, yellow, blue, or this reddish color--we love! <3>

after leaving the beach, we walked for another good hour around the neighbourhood, made friends with a 160lb female great dane (puppy) -which we would also love to have one day lol -and then continued on our way home. we were exhausted and chloe sure was too! we were home for about 10 minutes, then went out to meet our friend who is moving to nova scotia in a week :S we went and had some sangria at the green room (after much walking from bar to bar-the ones with patios anyways)--i just wanted a frozen drink and no one could give it to me! ahhh --so we ended up there, had some drinks, convos and said our goodbyes ..maybe me and dylan will make a trip out that way this summer..well have to see.

today--its raining, and i came back home last night with dylan, my parents came to get us--he has this orientation thing today for a new 'job' haha we might head back to TO for the weekend, bc on monday, he starts summer school! ahh

well im gonna read for a bit..nothing else much to do around here-especially when its raining booo

loved every minute of it

last night, me and dylan went down the distillery district-which we had both never been to, and we both absolutely loved it-for [FAT] Toronto Alternative Arts and Fashion Week. let me just say, i loved it!! it was in this old building, with a runway, live music, photographers, and all. we got there around 730 thinking we were totally late, but luckilly, no. we watched the 1 runway at 945, but it was 4 designers. we would have stayed for the later one at 1130, but it was ust too much of a gap and we were tired (can you say old married couple lol)last night was the 'future' of fashion-every day (for the 3 or 4 days that it was on) was a different theme-so there were definitely some 'different' designs thats forsure.

anyways, thats besides the point..

the important thing is..IM DONE...summers here!!
4 months of no deadlines, no textbooks, reading for leisure sake only, sandals, shorts, tanks, sunglasses, pools, beaches, no job (as of yet), hanging out..and loving life..and everything else in between. <3

you know by the time you get to that last exam, its like, common, just get here, i dont care anymore??? well obviously i care, but you know what i mean... and it feels like the questions are never ending, yeah that.

plan for after exam celebration: not much : this weekend will be awesome, but today, no plans..maybe ill grab a book and take chloe to the park!

i got these 2 little decoration things-hm what they're called exactly, i can't think of it right now-last year, no 2 years ago! at a yard sale the summer i moved here. the one on the left was red and some other color so i bought some paint and painted it to match the other figure (ah, that's the word!) and it also matches my apartment..they were a perfect find ;) and make for great lil something to go in my shadow box.

dreams..

not dreams about the future, dreams, that you have at night, when you're sleeping. well i have them everynight, but my exam is on my brain, so thats what i dreamt about last night...ok so my exam tomorrow is 66 multiple choice questions (60%) and 2 essay questions (20% each=40%) but yesterday i was looking at the exam from a few years ago and it was the same MC but instead of 2 essays it was 5 short answers..so in my dream the two were put together!

anyways, im there writing this exam with like 100 MC questions, 2 long essays AND 5 short answers, all in the regular time frame of 2 hours--needless to say i couldnt finish and i was freaking out!! the only good thing about it was that i was finding the MC easy and not difficult..hopefully thats a sign :S i woke up quite relieved.

my day plan for today: finish off reading my review then look at the exam from a few years ago, pick my answers (the right answers are put at the end) and see how i make out. ill probably take chloe out too if its not raining (---ahh she just threw up, RIGHT NOW, just some yellow spit--dont worry, i got her to the floor and off the carpet in time ) and other than that, just keep studying bc im so close now--like 31 hrs away from being done close!!

as for yesterday, i went to starbucks for a bit of reading-bc when youre there, you basically have to study right? like at home-theres the tv, internet, chloe, food, so many distractions..so i hung out there for a bit then on my way home stopped at the mall-checked out costa blanca for some cute things for NYC-40days-i tried on a bunch of skirts, but didnt care for any of them. and then i got dylan a little something for his birthday from...:O i cant say! mostly bc he's the only one that reads this blog lol but hopefully he likes it.

thats all for now i think..my days are pretty boring lately, i know, its true. but like i said, tmrw afternoon I AM FREE!! wooooo

rainy days

another rainy day in the city..decided i would test out the scarf in the hair as a headband thing and i rather like it...anyways dylan decided to come up today even though its eco-fest :S shhh lol

he decided to bring me some flowers again and we went out for some dinner at jack astors bc we had a $25 gift card! yess all thanks to dyl not liking the food last time so we got $50 and already spend the other $25..so we order the pan agarlic bread and 2 caesar salads..a few minutes later the waiter comes by and says there was a mix up in the kitchen and our bread hadnt been put through yet, so it wont be on the bill! right on, we werent even waiting more than like 5 minutes..so we got free food with free money! lol we're awesome, so then we got some dessert after too. not to mention it was the worst walk ever there and back! it is so windy and raining and the umbrella just wasnt having it..inside out, upside down, all over the place. it was also COLD compared to the weekend :( boo to that. thank goodness its not a far walk


so we got home, all wet and not we're laying in bed, with CSI on (of course) and im about to finish my 19, yes 19, page review for my exam.

another day - more studying

well its sunday-usually i like sundays-but my last exam is creeping closer and closer :S and i gotta get on the studying...

check out that breakfast of champions right there..yummm --nothing else much to say about today-study, eat, walk, study more, read..etc, same old same old...

i love the beach

yesterday was an awesome day, everything i want my summer to be. heading down to the beaches, eating some lunch-we ate at 'lion on the beach'-good place, i like it there-walking up and the strip and looking at the stores. the best part was getting ice cream at baskin robins (we were hoping for ben and jerrys but realized it was closed! and turning into a bagel world) and then hitting the beach and sitting on a rock with our feet over the water. we were all so relaxed and just didnt want to leave. i so wish i could just do this all summer--do the whole unemployed thing just ONE summer and enjoyyyyy it before its to late and im done school with a full time job.

anywho, dylans at the earth day festival today which he spent pretty much the last 8 months putting together and funding for with a group of people-hopefully the weather is as nice as it was yesterday and a lot of people come out! right now its a little overcast and only about 13, but maybe its a bit warmer in hamilton. and what the heck is up with the weather starting tmrw?! its going down to like 7 and 8 and possible snow! say what?! not fair to tease us with this nice weather.

today, i plan on being kinda lazy again, doing some reading (again-exam prep : ) and probably starting my review; reading my non-school related book; taking chloe out an exhausting walk; and maybe going out myself for a coffee on a patio somewhere :)

currently: 16°C and sunny-high of 19°C

that means, im taking advantage of this weather and heading to the beaches!!!
i took chloe for the same walk as yesterday and she pretty much dead right now, which was the point. im busting out the first dress of the year and maybe sandals, but probably just flats..
im just waiting right now for dylan to get here with josh (his roomie) and then we're heading out. i cant wait. do a little window shopping, walking up and down the streets, maybe eating some ice cream and just enjoying this weather before it goes away again!
but at this moment, im gonna finish my chapter for soc before they get here!!

today was another great day ! woke up, got myself ready and went out with chloe. i power walked to the stairs, then once i got to the top, took a walk around for a bit, then went and did the stairs another 3 times. thennn, i did something ive never been good at..i jogged for most of the way home! granted, its only about a 10 minute walk, but for me to run that far, thats an accomplishment!! and boy was chloe tired..overall, we were out for about an hour. this was 5 hours we got home, and she's barely woken up! i also did some squats last night and today, figure i would throw some of those in there ;)

oh, and another great thing, 8 minute abs on youtube, its gotta be from like the 90's, but its pretty awesome. the guy keeps you motivated with an encouraging "come on gang" every 30 seconds lol i always feel better after i do that video. and who doesnt have 8 minutes?

so tomorrow, i think dylan is coming up, hopefully he doesnt get any last minute work from his boss : and tomorrow is going to be another glorious day, high of 18 apparently :) mayyybbee we can head over and try the new crepe place, well the place itself is not new, but new to us seeing as we havent been yet and i cant wait to try it !

for the rest of the night, i think im gonna read another chapter for my last exam, that i kinda missed reading like 2weeks ago, and probably read some more of my book and maybe if chloe wakes up, take her to the park again.

oh, and im kinda craving my capuccino frozen yogurt, like bad, but kind off too lazy to walk and go buy some :S

my plan for today: drop my paper off, take chloe for a walk around the neighbourhood, come back home and eat lunch, and then i think i might find a starbucks or second cup and just sit and read my new book..deluxe, how luxury lost its luster.

anyways, im watching regis and kelly and theyre talking about gmail..apparently there is a panic button (incase you didnt mean to send an email or something, and you have 5 seconds from the time you press send to hit the panic button, and it wont send) how neat..im sure a lot of people could use that lol

also, gmail also has a sobriety test lol to prevent people from sending those late night emails after a night out, that they might regret in the morning. if you wanna send an email, all you have to do is answer a few simple math problems, to prove youre thinking normally lol easy enough, you have to enable this setting those in order for it to work.. soo those are the two new things i learned about gmail today lol thanks regis and kelly ha

as for right now, im gonna get myself ready and enjoy my lovely, well deserved, relaxing day.

i finished my second essay this morning, i woke up at 630am b/c it was all i could think about. i kept trying to get back to sleep, until about 730, then i finally got up and worked on it. COMPLETE!! :) now i have just one more..3-4 pages...easy enought right?? say yes..lol
i just took chloe for a walk before i start this one..clear my mind and what not, right now i think im gonna take a quick walk to the grocery store too..get some mix thing for dinner tonight to make fried rice with my chicken..yumm cant wait till dinner time now!! lol

soo its easter morning, just like christmas, but on a smaller scale lol i got some chocolate (of course), some pj's, a deal or no deal ticket [loser :( ], and two books that i wanted! cant wait to read the deluxe one..and i also got a little charm bracelet..

plan for the rest of the day is to work more on my essay, give chloe a bath, then we're heading over to my aunts for dinner and then back to toronto tonight! busy busy..

writers block

saturday night..just after 10pm and im working on an essay..blah

at least im making progress..3.5 pages..its a start..ive got hells kitchen on, chloe is sleeping on my legs and i think my feet are asleep!

good news is that on wed @4pm, all essays will be complete and i will have 1 exam left to worry about a week later

then..helloooo SUMMER!! couldn't be more excited!

still not sure what im doing work wise..staying in toronto or going home and back to a job that i've had the past 4 summers that i kinda hate : time to make a decision.

is here!!! my 2 exams are done and now i just have to write one paper by monday and another 2 by wednesday!! yikes :S im sitting here just packing and cleaning, waiting for my dad to come get me to go home for the weekend.

it's my friends 22nd birthday today, so we're all going out tonight, a little bit of a break in between writing 3 sexuality papers..much needed.

its monday

and well its raining!! again.. and also so darn cold!! geesh, yesterday was almost 15 and beautiful, i went for a walk with chloe and did the stairs--which was like a highway at rush hour it was so busy, the runners all come out on the nice days thats forsure--and today its only 1 eww (and possible snow!?! really??)
it's 7:52 right now and i have class at 10 until 1..my last HIV class :( i really enjoyed this semester..
i'm still pretty tired, last night i hooked into a TLC show about women who didnt know they were pregnant. talk about crazy and scary..

well my stomach is growling and i guess its time to brave the rain to take chloe out for her pee..sometimes i wish i had just one pee pad!! to use for like emergencies, or just when the weather sucks and i dont wanna go outside lol she loves the rain, but hates when she comes back in and is soaking wet, so she runs around like a maniac to dry off, but dont worry, i dry her with a towel too..here's a picture of her in full force..

sundays

well, this morning after dylan left at 930 to head home, i went to metro for some groceries, i mostly just wanted a fruit salad and cappuccino frozen yogurt actually. i got there and they had ben and jerrys on sale! oh no, thats the good stuff! regular $6.99 on for $3.99. at first i looked at the freezer and noticed there was a huuge empty space with only like 3 little hagan daaz ice creams, and when i looked at the price, i realized why. so i scooped up the banana split ben and jerry's.. (and i might have also gotten the cappuccino ice cream too...)

needless to say, my bill consisted of 2 ice creams and a fruit salad..good one lol on my way home, i stopped at bagel world. quite surprised when i walked in. much bigger than i expected, full of little tables and booths and a rather big menu.. i stuck with a buttered bagel and coffee...the bagel was awesome-all freshly baked every morning...then dylan texted me to pick up an "eye weekly" because there an article about a quarter life crisis. so on my way back, i did that.

so there i was, sunday morning at 1030, walking home with my groceries, coffee, bagel and paper--i felt like my parents! i dont feel my age (21 soon to be 22), i feel younger, but at the same time i feel older..weird.. but i enjoyed my walk with my hands full..juggling the coffee and trying to eat a hot bagel. good stuff

the rest of the day is pretty much a bore--i must attempt to be a studious student..not sure why im so worried for these 2 exams, theyre worth no more than a regular test..i guess because its my last chance to do well and keep my mark up/increase my mark :S

i better not even turn the tv on, if i see CSI, well there goes my studying..

oh and when dylan came over yesterday, he had brought some flowers over, hes known for bringing me flowers for no reason at all :) lucky me ! seeing as i have no vases (which i should probably work on that, you would think i would have at least one by now..actually theyre all at my parents house..) we had to put them in some empty wine bottles, yep, on the spot thinking..

aw chloe was curious. she wanted to smell the flowers.

here we are, another wednesday (and surprise, surprise, its raining again!)
the day my project is due, and im still working on it! ahhhh
well im almost done, just about a page more, updated bibliography (oh how i dread these) and then edit.
i might have been done last night, if i didnt go out for nachos and sangria..but sometimes you need a break!! not a biggie, its just after 9 right now and i have till 6 to finish. but im aiming to be done for about 230 so i dont miss my 3 oclock class--i feel so guilty missing classes :
that being said, i should probably get back to working on it.
my mind seems to be racing right now, i have so much to say and i wrote about 3 pages in a matter of an hour! thank god, i certainly dont wanna work on it all day)

so with that being said, IM OFF and as of 8 tonight, my weekend is here once again
