my day is looking up already

so i know its only been like 4 hours since my last post :S lol buut my day has already gotten better...not that it was really a bad day to start..
first off..i won a free coffee at tim hortons with my free coffee that i already had, which i won with another free coffee.which i think i won from another free coffee..you follow that? ha anyways i think ive won like 4 free coffees in a row now or something
next off, i get to class, we watch this really sad movie about a guy who documents his sufferring with aids (silverlake life: the view from here)..not pleasant at all, although it was a good movie.

however, looking on the brighter side of things, we got our test back that we had written like over a month ago!! and i got an 84% !!! woo hoo for me.
then i walked out of class and the grey clouds from this morning were going away and the sun is slowly trying to come out

well thats all for now, im pretty hungry, LUNCH TIME

another weekend has come and gone

well its monday morning, im getting ready to go to class soon. its looking pretty gloomy outside again, although it doesnt call for rain. i cant believe how fast the weeks have been going by lately. this is the second last week of classes before exams and final papers-oh what fun.

chloe is beside me playing with her squeek toy-at least someone likes monday mornings lol the life of a dog eh...

this last photo here--i woke up one morning and dylan noticed that i had a little heart shaped red mark on my back, i guess from the way i slept. how sweet :)

i always overeat!

i just got back from the food and drink fest tonight..and boy did i eat too much!! its not a bad deal, pay $10 and you get your admission and a free little wine glass to use throughout the night. then you can buy tickets to use at all the vendors and get some great food!

here's what i was able to get for about 15 tickets (and i was very full by the end of the night)---

*little slider burger

*a chai green chocolate

*pomegranite vodka martini

*penne pasta with cream sauce

*fruit kabob with honeydue, strawberry, pineapple and cantaloupe--which you could then dip in a chocolate fountain!! <3>

there was tonnes of beer and wine vendors there, but im not a big drinker, so they didnt appeal to me; but dylan was able to get a bunch of beer and some were only 1 ticket!

needless to say, right now i feel as though i can barely move and i just want my bed, so thats where im headed.

home bound

usually every other weekend or so, i come back to my parents house. this is one of those weekends. always good to come home for a bit, have some nice meals, and kind of forget about homework and readings for a bit :P they love it when im back, and i think they really enjoy what i bring along with me, chloe (the dog) lol they just adore her. the other day i emailed this picture home, my dad said she looked sad, that she wanted to come home! haha but her home is with me! in toronto! and she's not sad, she just has dopey eyes sometimes ha

shes usually worn out by the time the weekend is done. at my parents house, shes got another dog and cat to play with; not to mention a house to run around in..although anything is bigger than my tiny little shoebox apartment :P well dylans on his way here, we're probly just gonna hang out, watch some CSI, work on my project and have tacos for dinner! yummyumm

...except it hasnt just been april, well that hasnt even gotten here yet. but once again, another wednesday comes, and the weather is calling for rain! i swear, every wednesday for about the last 3 months there has been rain!! i remember this b/c its always on the day that i have classes from 12-8 which means i have to walk through it from class to class. booo

right now, its sunny, but in the afternooon its supposed to start.
--in one month minus 2 days (april 23) i will be finished my last exam..counting down the days!!

the joys of education

i'm a big procrastinator! ..BIG ..i've had this project for a while, and now that it's due in a week, it's time to get a move on it. it's not like it's boring--i'm analyzing store window displays in rich and poor areas..interesting enough. but, things get in the way, i do other work first, you know how it is.


anyways, i went to see a guidance counsellor today, ask some questions about courses and what not. i think i have finally figured out what i want: double major in criminology and sociology with a minor in sexual diversity. fingers crossed i get into crim! (all this CSI is making me want it even more lol even tho i know its not much like reality ha) --but if i want to get into that program, that means i need good marks, therefore, i should be working on my project..right now..instead of writing this :S

just love spending saturday nights cuddled on a couch..watching csi; episode after episode lol maybe we'll switch to a movie later..nachos and cheese are in the oven, drinks are being poured. we're ready for a relaxing night tonight.

today me and dylan went for a walk around the city; we like to do that often. today had a purpose tho, i had to take a bunch of pictures of store windows for a project. we were out for a good 4 hours just walking.

we stopped at cafe crepe for a little dessert and we were not disappointed!! the menu is like 6 pages of different crepe options and panini's.. yummm :) we opted for the specialty crepe which had nutella, hazlenuts, bananas and grande marnier. verry delish. we might even go back tmrw :S needless to say, we love food...

simply amazing

i just had THE best fruit salad.ever.
im trying to do this whole eat better/work out thing ...
i decided to take a walk to a fruit stand that's only about a 7 minute walk from my place (bonus #1 !)
then i realized just how cheap this place was (bonus #2 !)
i was able to get:
*raspberrys
*6 bananas
*2 kiwis
*2 quart (?) things of strawberrys
all of this for only $8 (bonus #3 !)..i was pretty impressed, considering last week in the grocery store the strawberrys were like $5 for one package


so when i got home i cut everything up, put it all in a bowl with the pineapple i already had and enjoyed myself a nice snack!




i felt it was necessary to include a picture just to show it off ;) i loved every bite of it.

gloomy wednesday

my new found obsessions:

*cappuccino frozen yogurt with chocolate chips

*CSI marathons--b/c you can usually find it on TV for like 8 hours in a row

*running the stairs--im not very good at it yet, however i think it will turn into a love/hate relationship

have a good day :) i've got about 8 hrs of straight class, so needless to say, wednesdays arent my days..however, when i'm done at 8pm tonight, my weekend is here! (no thurs/fri classes are awesome)

i came across these pictures yesterday online. pretty awesome really. it's Betsey Johnson's apartment in NYC, i think its from 2007. personally, i would never do an all pink house, but it suits her, and i still love it none the less.

seems like a very happy place :)

just like old times

so like i said, last night was my friends 22nd birthday/dressing up in old highschool gear. we brought out the yearbooks, old pictures and had some good laughs. it's weird to think it's been 4 years since we all graduated. time really does go by so fast... overall it was a good night!
however, the kilt was a liiiittle bit shorter than i remember wearing it!! yikes!

friday night

tonight on the agenda:
reunion with high school friends, but not really a reunion at all, seeing as we're all still friends lol its also my friends birthday!! woo 22 :)
more like getting together and wearing something from the uniform or brining something from highschool..you know reminisce about old times haha
should be a good time.

what a day!

so the other day, after class, i had to go get a few things from the grocery store. its only about a 10 minute walk, so thats not too bad. however, it was raining, and i didnt have an umbrella! when i got to the store, i picked up the few things i needed, which wasnt very much..just some milk, fruit, ice cream!, arthur's smoothie drinks..all the good stuff. when it came time to actually walk home with all this stuff, ok it wasnt very much, but still! i was dying! i have one of those cloth bags to carry groceries in (partly bc it makes dylan happy, hes an earthy guy :P), and it just made it so much more akward to carry!! it felt like the longest walk home everrr, it was quite heavy (clearly i dont work out enough) and it was now raining even more...wonderful...

at least when i got home, i had my fruit to look forward to :)

countdown..

sooo its only 84 days until me and dylan are off to NYC again!!

i am suuuper excited, i love this place soo much!! we went last year and had a blast and cant wait to do it again :D i think im a little more excited than he is (this will be my 6th year going, maybe 5th?) but he'll learn to love it ;) especially if we wanna live there for year...ohh to dream :P
